Burlesque Beat had this to say about Betsy’s performance:

Saturday Spectacular – New York Burlesque Festival 2011
In the act that easily took the prize for crowd-pleaser of the evening, Betsy Bottom Dollar gave us a hoe-down, a six-gun trigger-finger fiddle-playin’ tassel-twirlin’ rig-diggity, and goddamn if she ain’t from Canada.  A fleshy, energetic blonde in cowboy boots, she begins with some rope gags and escalates into hoppin’ around to a hootenanny, twirling her heart out.  She’s so charming—a two-note refrain on the fiddle is acted out, every time—and the final fiddle freakout is an exhaustive display of athletic prowess. And fucking Murray made her do the whole darn thing AGAIN!  The crowd went apeshit, and afterwards, Betsy gamely rolled her eyes when I asked her about her encore.  She may have been exhausted, but she didn’t flinch.

Thirty years????
But she looks so young!

Initially helping only with the troupe’s choreography, she was quickly coerced into first co-emceeing and then performing. Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend

Betsy did her Cowgirl Number in Las Vegas on opening night as the closing act. What a weekend! She was thrilled to meet and share the stage with so many burlesque legends including Trixie Little, the Evil Hate Monkey, Pearle Noir, Tigger!, Darlinda Just Darlinda, Miss Astrid, Midnite Martini and Cheesecake sweetie, Champagne Sparkles. Although she was not given a competitive spot during the weekend, Betsy still received a cyber-award from Trixie Little as one of her top five performances of the weekend. What an honour!

Betsy Bottom Dollar for MOVEMENT

“She was the closing act for Thursday night and nearly stole the show for me. This Cheesecake Burlesque darling looked like she could be the Tennessee sister of both Dirty Martini and Darlinda Just Darlinda. She performed to an over-the-top banjo heavy western piece of music that was brilliantly animated by just about every single part of her body and costume, which reached thrilling proportions during her ass solo. I have never seen country music used to such hilarious, fun and stylish ends in burlesque before.”  -Trixie Little
